What drew you to this field and Sentinel? I've always had an interest in business, a knack for working with numbers, and liked the idea of helping people. After some job shadowing with a CPA and a financial advisor, I decided to return to school to get my MBA. My interview with Sentinel is what really drew me to the company. You could really sense a genuine care for the clients and the employees which makes for a great atmosphere to work in.
How has your previous experience prepared you for your current position? Many people are unfamiliar with all of the facets of pension plans, so education on different aspects of retirement plans for our current and potential clients is a large part of what we do. My experience in the classroom provided me a lot of great tools and insights that I use to help our clients understand so that they can make responsible, informed decisions about their retirement plans.
What does a normal day look like in the office? One of the great things about Sentinel is there isn’t really a “normal” day in the office. Various things can come up on a daily basis that allows for a different challenge everyday
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job? The ability to help people save for their future.
